Woodstock Fine Arts Association presents Fall Children's Program - Oct 18

Folk Music Duo Switchback To Entertain Grade School and Home School Students (Grades 3-5)

The Woodstock Fine Arts Association presents an interactive program of American Roots and Celtic Soul music to McHenry County school children in grades 3 through 5 by the award-winning musical duo Switchback.

The children's program takes place at the Woodstock Opera House on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 12:30 p.m. There is also a performance at 9:30 a.m. for which a few seats remain.

Tickets are available to school groups and home school students for $5 each, and may be purchased through the Woodstock Opera House box office at (815) 338-5300 or online at www.woostockoperahouse.com

The ticket price for all seats has been kept at $5.00 to ensure that students can attend," says Jane Koehler, co-chair of the children's program committee of the Woodstock Fine Arts Association. "For many, this will be their first experience of live entertainment at the Opera House."

Singers/songwriters Martin McCormack and Brian Fitzgerald have appeared throughout the United States and in Europe. McCormack attended local McHenry County schools: St. Mary's School and Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock.

The Woodstock Fine Arts Association has sponsored children's programs since 1961. The programs provide an opportunity for McHenry County school children and home school families to experience quality entertainment in the historic Woodstock Opera House.
