2 Darien Stores Burglarized Same Night: Cops
The break-ins were within a half hour of each other, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Two stores were burglarized early the morning of Sept. 20 in Darien, police said.
About 2:30 a.m., police were alerted to a burglar alarm at Darien Liquor, 8125 Cass Ave. The front door was reported shattered.
The owner said the video showed three men entering the store and removing multiple items, police said.

Twenty minutes later, police said they were dispatched to a burglary in progress at Speedway gas station, 8301 Lemont Road.

Retail theft
- Myranda Rozell, 25, of Braidwood, was cited about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of felony retail theft. According to a police report, she was seen removing an item from a box and filling it with multiple clothing items. She paid for items in the self-checkout aisle, but not the clothing in the box. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Alexis Thompson, 29, of Woodridge, was cited about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. She was seen under-scanning items in the self-checkout lane. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Damage
- A back passenger window of a car was shattered between 5 p.m. Sept. 22 and 8 a.m. Sept. 23 in the 1600 block of Darien Club Drive. The damage was estimated at $500.
