Wight & Company, an award winning, integrated architecture, engineering and construction firm based in Darien, Illinois, has an opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, enthusiastic, motivated and have 2+ years of experience to help support the team!
Summary: This position requires working M-TH 12:00pm – 5:15pm. It will require administrative duties such writing, proofreading, and formatting proposals, presentations, and contract documents, as well as scheduling meetings and lunches.
Communication with the client, consultants, construction manager and design team must be handled in a professional and timely manner. This can include verbally, electronically and in writing.
Reports to: Administrative Manager
Responsibilities:
Backup switchboard coverage
Administrative file maintenance
Provide administrative assistance to team members
Track and replenish supplies for office
Package/ship/track outgoing packages and deliverables
Proofread/edit/format client correspondence
Assemble spreadsheets and sample booklets for interior design projects
Meeting planning and scheduling
Compile various reports and track flow of documents as instructed
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English (or related area of study).
Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Extremely organized with ability to prioritize a diversified workload.
Willingness to quickly change priorities and be open minded to new opportunities.
Shows initiative, diplomacy, and confidentiality in daily actions.
A sense of humor and positive attitude.
