DUIs, Retail Theft: Darien Cops

One DUI suspect doubled the speed limit and appeared to sideswipe a concrete median, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

DUIs

  • Tomas Vazquez Gonzalez, 29, of Woodridge, was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Sunday on 65th Street on charges of DUI, speeding, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Police said he appeared to sideswipe a concrete median and was speeding 80 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Marisol Cruz, 36, of Schiller Park, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Plainfield Avenue on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. She was seen crossing the double-line marker. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • Michelle Ramos, 21, of Willowbrook, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said Ramos was seen under-scanning items at the self-checkout aisle. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Rafael Nino Ramirez, 39, of Joliet, was cited about 8 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said Ramirez was seen under-scanning items in the self-checkout aisle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
