DUIs, Retail Theft: Darien Police

Local officers arrested a man and a woman on drunken driving charges in recent days.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

DUIs

  • Angela Koceva, 25, of Countryside, was arrested about 7 p.m. Saturday at Plainfield Road and 75th Street on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She crashed her car. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Darius Totton, 28, of Aurora, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 5 near Oldfield and North Frontage roads on charges of DUI and stopping, parking or standing in the roadway. He was stopped at a stop sign and sleeping behind the wheel. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • Katrina Mahomes Davis, 50, of Plainfield, was cited about 1:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. An employee saw Davis place an item underneath another one that she was actually scanning in the self-checkout aisle. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Disorderly conduct

  • Sergio Nunez, 31, of Darien, was cited at 11 p.m. Oct. 4 at Jewel, 7329 Cass Ave., on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrant

  • Luis Puga, 20, of Aurora, was arrested about 1 p.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Oldfield Road on a Naperville warrant charging forgery of checks. He was cited on a charge of speeding. Police said he was speeding 46 mph in a 25 mph zone. Puga was turned over to Naperville police.
