New Cross on Cass

A new cross adorns the grounds of St. John Lutheran Church & Early Learning Center in Darien to the glory of God.

If you have walked or driven by St. John Lutheran Church & Early Learning Center at 7214 South Cass Avenue in Darien recently, you should have noticed something different. A new cross has been erected in the front of the campus. It was blessed at the conclusion of the worship service on Mother’s Day. Rev. Rodney Serbus, Senior Pastor, noted that “this cross will point people to Christ for the first time and for a life time.”

St. John Lutheran Church has been celebrating God’s grace and serving the Lord and His people since 1859. Its mission is to share God's love through connecting people to Christ. If you would like to learn more about St. John Lutheran Church and its preschool, visit www.sjlcdarien.org or, better yet, come to a worship service. A contemporary service is held every Saturday at 5:00 p.m. A traditional service occurs each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome to check out our new cross and connect with us and God.
