• Darien Flooding Solution May Hurt Willowbrook: Officials (patch.com) — Darien officials are working on long-term fixes for the city's worsening neighborhood flooding, but they warn that any solution must avoid pushing more water onto lower-lying Willowbrook and Burr Ridge. The mayor says DuPage County may help fund a regional stormwater plan, while an engineer studies the hardest-hit Darien areas to slow runoff from increasingly frequent heavy rains. 
• Darien Man Admits Breaking Into Cars In His Neighborhood: Police (patch.com) — Darien police say a local man admitted entering 10 to 15 unlocked cars in his own neighborhood to steal small amounts of change for cigarettes. Officers tracked him to a Holly Avenue home after a resident's security camera alert, and he was later charged and taken to DuPage County Jail following further investigation.
