'Take Charge of Your Health' Program Coming to the FranCenter
The four-part seminar will take place July 23 to Aug. 13 in Darien.

University of Illinois Extension is partnering with the FranCenter Neuropsychological and Educational Clinic to present “Take Charge of Your Health,” an interactive seminar with a focus on healthy eating and physical activity.
“Through educational, interactive sessions, we hope to inspire individuals to make healthier choices and to set and achieve lifestyle goals,” said program facilitator Laura Barr, who is a Nutrition and Wellness Educator with University of Illinois Extension. “This program’s designed to provide important nutrition information and promote new skills to lead to an overall improvement in quality of life.”

In addition to Barr, Dr. Bob Marciante will serve as program facilitator. He is the director of the office of health, nutrition and physical education for the Archdiocese of Chicago, and director of the FranCenter.
The four-part seminar will be each Thursday, July 23 to August 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the FranCenter, 1510 Plainfield Road. in Darien.

The cost for the complete four-session seminar is $175 per person. Financial assistance and individual scholarships are available. In addition, mention “University of Illinois Extension” at registration for a reduced rate of $50.
