5 DUI Arrests Reported In Riverwoods: Police

Riverwoods police reported several impaired driving arrests during traffic stops and a crash investigation.

RIVERWOODS, IL — The following information comes from the Riverwoods Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Reckless Driving

Antonio Guzman Alavarado, 19, of the 1400 block of Evergreen, Palatine, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. June 7, after police investigated a single-vehicle crash near Lake Cook Road and Saunders Road. Guzman Alavarado was charged with reckless driving, disobeying a red light, no headlights when required, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful transportation of cannabis and zero tolerance. He was processed, charged, released and is scheduled to appear in court July 1 in Waukegan.

Warrant

Anthony A. Thompson Wilson, 29, of the 1200 block of Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, was stopped at 1:20 a.m. June 8, near Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Road for a traffic violation. Police said Thompson Wilson had an active Pike County warrant for contempt of court/failure to appear. He was released after posting bond and is scheduled to appear July 15 at the Pike County Courthouse in Pittsfield.
