Christmas 2017: What's Open, What's Closed In Deerfield
Many local services and businesses will be closed over Christmas and New Year's.

DEERFIELD, IL — The Christmas holiday is fast approaching, and that means people will be out and about shopping, picking out presents and visiting family. While some people — including emergency personnel and employees at some retail stores — will be working on the holiday, many area businesses and offices will be closed.
Here's list of what's open and what's closed in Deerfield for Christmas and New Year's 2017.
- Post offices: Closed
- Federal offices: Closed
- Banks: Closed
- Gas stations: Open
- Village Hall: Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
- Refuse Collection: Pickups will be delayed by one day throughout the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
- Deerfield Schools: Closed for winter break through Jan. 8.
- Deerfield Public Library: Closed on Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1.
- Sachs Recreation Center: Closed Dec. 24, open 7 a.m. to noon on Dec. 24, 31 and Jan. 1
- Retail stores: Some will be closed, some will be open, but check the hours before you go.
