Coroner Releases ID Of Person Killed Driving Into Deerfield Shop
A 25-year-old woman died early Saturday morning after crashing into Tony's Subs on Waukegan Road.
DEERFIELD, IL — The identification of a person killed early Saturday morning after crashing into a Deerfield sandwich shop has been released. Jareline Martinez, 25, of Waukegan, was pronounced dead at the scene of Tony's Subs, 1480 Waukegan Road.
According to the Lake County Coroner's Office, Martinez died from blunt force injuries as a result of the crash.
Members of the Deerfield Police Department and Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District responded to the crash at 2:23 a.m. First-responders found a 2002 Honda Accord on its roof with heavy damage at Tony's Subs. Martinez was the sole occupant of the car.
