Deadly Weapon Assault Arrest Made: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Juan M. Oronia, 26, of the 0-100 block of E. Drummond Avenue, Glendale Heights, had a warrant for driving under the influence, and was arrested Dec. 4 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Jan. 16, 2024.
• Ruben Delgado, 20, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is accused of DUI drugs, underage consumption of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, improper transportation of cannabis, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 4 at Route 41 and Stearns School Road, Gurnee. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 10, 2024.
• Miranda L. McNutt, 28, of the 500 block of Catalpa Drive, Round Lake, is accused of DUI alcohol, no driver's license, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 5 at Eastmoor Avenue and Caine Road, unincorporated Lake Villa. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 10, 2024.
• Cesar A. Diaz Flores, 34, of the 3200 block of Susan Circle, Park City, is accused of DUI alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 8 at 23rd Street and Sheridan Road, Zion. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 10, 2024.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Jessica L. Cox, 42, of the 100 block of E. Grand Avenue, Fox Lake, had a warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested Dec. 4 in the 38300 block of N. 5th Avenue, unincorporated Spring Grove. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 16, 2024.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM

Jorge Y. Vargas-Esquivias, 19, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is accused of unlawful possession of a firearm, and was arrested Dec. 4 at Route 41 and Stearns School Road, unincorporated Gurnee. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Jan. 2, 2024.

BATTERY

Adilene Gallegos, 31, of the 1100 block of Jackson Street, North Chicago, had a warrant for battery, and was arrested Dec. 5 in the 3900 block of Fountain Square Place, Waukegan. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 18, 2024.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Joshua J. Barry, 30, of the 400 block of Forest Glen Drive, Round Lake Park, is accused of violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Dec. 5 in the 400 block of Forest Glen Drive, Round Lake Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 17, 2024.

THEFT

Efren J. Lingat, 52, of the 3500 block of Huron Terrace, Waukegan, had a warrant for theft, and was arrested Dec. 6 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 24, 2024.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Kandi L. Smith, 37, of the 26200 block of N. Violet Drive, unincorporated Mundelein, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested Dec. 6, in the 26200 block of N. Violet Drive, unincorporated Mundelein. She was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the arrest and was assigned a court date of Jan. 11, 2024.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Erin M. Deveau, 39, of the 1000 block of Muirfield Avenue, Waukegan, had a warrant out of McHenry County for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 7 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.

OBSTRUCTING A PEACE OFFICER

Sean Runions, 51, of the 42300 block of N. Oak Lane, unincorporated Antioch, is accused of obstructing a peace officer, and was arrested Dec. 7 in the 42300 block of N. Oak Lane, unincorporated Antioch. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 31, 2024.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

Shannon T. Harper, 32, of the 10600 block of W. Woodland Avenue, Beach Park, is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless conduct, and was arrested Dec. 9 in the 10600 block of W. Woodland Avenue, Beach Park. She was released and was assigned a court date of Dec. 14.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Jennifer R. Stiemke, 36, of the 4600 block of W. Lakeshore Drive, McCullom Lake, is accused of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and was arrested Dec. 10 in the 32500 block of N. East Lane, unincorporated Grayslake. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 22, 2024.
