Drug Possession, DUI, Speeding Arrest: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

A juvenile is accused of possession of child pornography, and was arrested Nov. 7 in the 39300 block of N. Holdridge Avenue, Beach Park.

BATTERY

• Deondre T. Booker, 29, of the 2400 block of Joppa Avenue, Zion, had a warrant for battery, and was arrested Nov 7 at Sheridan Road and Suddard Place, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 7.
• Martin Heydenburg, 61, of the 900 block of N. Milwaukee Avenue, unincorporated Wheeling, had a warrant for aggravated battery, and was arrested Nov. 11 in the 900 block of N. Milwaukee Avenue, unincorporated Wheeling. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 21.

OPERATING A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE WITHOUT A LICENSE

Florencio Sanchez, 42, of the 26100 block of W. Marshall Avenue, Ingleside, is accused of operating a commercial vehicle without a commercial driver's license, overweight on registration, and was arrested Nov. 7 at Route 12 and Deer Park Boulevard, Deer Park. He was released.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Avery A. Warship, Sr., 35, of the 1700 block of Joppa Avenue, Zion, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, improper transportation of cannabis, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Nov. 7 at 31st Street and Enoch Street, Zion. They were released and assigned a court date of Dec. 13.
• Juan Sanchez-Almaraz, 37, of the 7500 block of Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines, had a warrant for aggravated driving under the influence, and was arrested Nov. 8 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 11.
• Adam M. Kokot, 54, of Salem, Wisconsin, is accused of DUI drugs, open transportation of alcohol, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested Nov. 1 1 in the 41500 block of Route 45, unincorporated Antioch. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 27.
• Oscar A. Ceja, 35, of the 3100 block of Elim Avenue, Zion, is accused of aggravated DUI, aggravated speeding (74 MPH in a 35 MPH zone), driving while license suspended, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Nov. 11 at 33rd Street and Sheridan Road, Zion. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 11.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Rachel D. Bocik, 46, of Trevor, Wisconsin, is accused of driving while license suspended, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing identification, no insurance, and was arrested Nov. 7 at Rollins and Cedar Lake roads, Round Lake Beach. She was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 13.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF COCAINE

• Veronica R. Stevens, 41, of Genoa, Wisconsin, is accused of unlawful possession of crack cocaine, obstructing identification, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested Nov. 7 at Rollins and Cedar Lake roads, Round Lake Beach. She was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 12.
• Ian Salgado, 20, of the 200 block of Winddance Drive, Lake Villa, is accused of unlawful possession of cocaine, driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated speeding (72 mph in a 40 mph zone), open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Nov. 8 at Rollins and Wilson roads, Ingleside. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 13.

ASSAULT

Reno L. Whirl, 29, of the 1500 block of Lorelei Drive, Zion, had a warrant out of LaPorte County, Indiana, for assault, and was arrested Nov. 8 in the 200 block of Water Street, Waukegan. They are being detained in the Lake County Jail and a court date of Nov. 22 was assigned.

FAILURE OF SEX OFFENDER TO REPORT CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Jason M. Frisell, 44, of the 27000 block of W. Grass Lake Road, unincorporated Antioch, is accused of failure of sex offender to report change of address, and was arrested Nov. 9 in the 27000 block of Grass Lake Road, unincorporated Antioch. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 12.

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING

Johnny Rogel Sandoval, 22, of the 10100 block of W. Paddock Avenue, Beach Park, is accused of aggravated speeding (104 MPH in a 35 MPH zone), no insurance, and was arrested Nov. 9 at Yorkhouse and Cornell roads, Waukegan. He was released.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Cristian A. Yarbrough, 27, of the 35900 block of N. Wilson Road, Ingleside, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Nov. 10 in the 35900 block of N. Wilson Road, Ingleside. He is being detained at the Lake County Jail and was assigned a court date of Dec. 13.

AGGRAVATED UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM

Krzysztof Gut, 41, of the 2500 block of Lincoln Avenue, Long Grove, is accused of unlawful possession of a firearm, assault, criminal damage to property, and was arrested Nov. 11 at Route 22 and Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. They were released and assigned a court date of Nov. 22.
