Festival of Fine Arts is This Weekend in Deerfield

Creations in a variety of forms to be on display near Jewett Park.

Deerfield residents will be affordable the opportunity to take in some creativity this weekend with the village’s 13th annual Festival of Fine Arts.

Taking place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 30 and 31 on Park Avenue immediately west of Jewett Park, this year’s fest will bring 115 artists from 21 states and Canada, the Deerfield Review reports. Creations include painting, sculpture, jewelry, fiber, ceramics, wood and mixed media.

Last year’s best in show winner, Indiana man Mel Fleck, will be among the artists this year as well. Much of his work comes from his travels and study of ancient culture.
