Gurnee Felon Charged With Weapon Possession: Blotter

ARRESTS

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Clifford W. Husbye, 41, of the 400 block of Main Street, Wauconda, is accused of having a warrant for driving under the influence, and was arrested Dec. 21 Wauconda. His bond was set at $20,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 15, 2021.
• Gerardo M. Vergara, 27, of the 1800 block of Greenfield Avenue, North Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 22 at Sheridan and Ganster roads, Beach Park. His bond was set at $3,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 27, 2021.
• Vladislav Malevanets, 30, of the 0-100 block of Keeneland Court, Grayslake, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 22 in the 18400 block of Route 120, Unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $3,000, and Malevanets was assigned a court date of Jan. 20, 2021.
• Tama L. Margowski, 45, of the 35200 block of N Wilson Road, Ingleside, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 22 at Route 59 and Grand Avenue, Fox Lake. Bond was set at $3,000, and Margowski was assigned a court date of Feb. 10, 2021.
• Leann M. Krause, 51, of Racine, Wisconsin, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 23 at Cook Avenue and Park Terrace, Unincorporated Antioch. Her bond was set at $3,000, and she was assigned a court date of Feb. 10, 2021.
• Stephen M. Davis, 25, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Washington Street and Pioneer Road, Waukegan. His bond was set at $3,000, and he was assigned a court date of March 3, 2021.
• Erlin D. Sandoval, 41, of the 2100 block of Hebron Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Lewis Avenue and 29th Street, Zion. Bond was set at $3,000, and Sandoval was assigned a court date of Feb. 10, 2021.
• Jordan M. Willis, 24, of the 3100 block of Enoch Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Lewis Avenue and Beach Road, Beach Park. His bond was set at $3,000, and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 17, 2021.
• Samuel R. Nelson, 22, of the 28500 block of North Drive, Unincorporated Barrington, is accused of having a warrant for driving under the influence, and was arrested Dec. 27 in the Unincorporated Barrington. His bond was set at $20,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 22, 2021.
• Jake D. Betke, 19, of the 24800 block of W Beach Drive, Unincorporated Antioch, is accused of driving under the influence — intoxicating compounds, and was arrested Dec. 27 at W Stanton Road and Hook Circle, Unincorporated Antioch. His bond was set at $3,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 13, 2021.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

• Juan M. Puebla Benitez, 33, of the 400 block of E Washington Street, Round Lake Park, is accused of no driver's license, and was arrested Dec. 21 at Route 59 and Monaville Road, Ingleside. His bond was set at $1,500.
• Taiwo Collins-Parker, 20, of the 4400 block of Thomas Street, Chicago, is accused of no driver's license, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 22 at Sheridan Road and Michigan Boulevard, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Julio C. Gomez-Garcia, 46, of Mundelein, is accused of having a warrant for domestic battery, aggravated driving under the influence, and was arrested Dec. 22 in Mundelein. His bond was set at $50,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 6, 2021.

AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Shane S. Nichols, 34, of Beach Park, is accused of having a warrant for driving under the influence, domestic battery, Wisconsin Department of Corrections parole violation, and was arrested Dec. 22 in Beach Park. He was given no bond through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and was assigned a court date of Dec. 29.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION/USE OF A WEAPON BY A FELON

Justin Scott, 20, of the 4300 block of McClure Court, Gurnee, is accused of having a warrant for unlawful possession/use of a weapon by a felon, and was arrested Dec. 22 in Waukegan. His bond was set at $350,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 21, 2021.

FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A VIOLENT OFFENDER

Gregory Williamson, 52, of the 2300 block of N Sheridan Road, Waukegan, is accused of failure to register as a violent offender, driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 23 at Sheridan Road and Chaplin Avenue, Beach Park. His bond was set at $40,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 21, 2021.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

• Jose Gallegos, 22, of the 700 block of N Linden Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving while license revoked, and was arrested Dec. 23 at Route 21 and Route 41, Gurnee. His bond was set at $1,500.
• Melvin L. Murray, 30, of the 900 block of N Lawndale Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 25 at Route 60 and Route 194 in Mettawa. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Jeffrey T. Hodge, 41, of the 1000 block of Dickey Avenue, North Chicago, is accused of driving while license revoked, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Lewis and Greenwood avenues. His bond was set at $1,500.
• Derrick Rhodes, 49, of the 1300 block of Adams Way, DeKalb, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Lewis and Glen Flora avenues, Waukegan. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Robert Gibbons, III, 25, of the 3200 block of Gabriel Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Route 59 and Wilson Road, Ingleside. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Towanda J. Armstrong, 44, of the 1700 block of Joanna Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Lewis Avenue and Beach Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Michael J. Girot, 53, of the 17700 block of W Gages Lake Road, Gages Lake, is accused of driving while license revoked, unlawful use of a driver's license, and was arrested Dec. 26 at Route 120 and O'Plaine Road, Gurnee. His bond was set at $1,500.

LARCENY

Keith A. Knigge, 44, of the 26000 block of Lakeview Avenue, Ingleside, is accused of having a warrant for larceny, retail theft, and was arrested Dec. 23 in Ingleside. His bond was set at $30,000, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 27, 2021.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Jesus Oropeza, 19, of the 800 block of Walnut Street, Mundelein, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested Dec. 26 in the 26200 block of N Route 83 in Mundelein. His bond was set at $1,500, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 25, 2021.

OBSTRUCTING IDENTIFICATION

Auzrae J. Cystrunk, 21, of the 1500 block of N Martin Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of obstructing identification, and was arrested Dec. 26 in the 2600 block of Lewis Avenue, Waukegan. Bond was set at $1,500, and Cystrunk was assigned a court date of Feb. 1, 2021.

AGGRAVATED DOMESTIC BATTERY

Lupaul Antquan Fairley, 38, of Zion, is accused of aggravated domestic battery, criminal damage to government supported property, resisting arrest, and was arrested Dec. 27 in the 38800 block of N Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500, and Fairley was assigned a court date of Jan. 19, 2021.
