Man Busted For Using Forged Credit Cards: Lake County Sheriff Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

• William E. Southgate, 70, of the 43000 block of N. Crawford Road, unincorporated Antioch, is accused of disorderly conduct, and was arrested Aug. 7 in the 43000 block of N. Crawford Road, unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Aug. 30 was assigned.
• Anthony C. Riek, Jr., 50, of the 100 block of South Court, Woodstock, is accused of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, assault, and was arrested Aug. 11 in the 18100 block of W. Twin Lakes Boulevard, unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Aug. 28 was assigned.

BATTERY

• Devion M. Washington, 18, of the 500 block of Deerpath Drive, Lindenhurst, is accused of battery, and was arrested Aug. 8 at Lake County Jail. There was no bond as Washington was being held on other charges. A court date of Sept. 18 was assigned.
• Sharbonia Poole, 18, of the 1400 block of Kildeer Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of battery, and was arrested Aug. 8 at Lake County Jail. There was no bond as Poole was being held on other charges. A court date of Sept. 14 was assigned.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Miguel A. Delgado, 42, of the 12100 block of W. Blossom Avenue, Beach Park, is accused of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and was arrested Aug. 8 in the 12100 block of W. Blossom Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Sept. 13 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

• Matthew T. Mitsven, 25, of the 17400 block of W. Bluff Drive, unincorporated Grayslake, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Aug. 8 in the 17400 block of W. Bluff Drive, unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of Aug. 23 was assigned.
• Victor Hugo Corte-Morales, 32, of the 1700 block of McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake, is accused of domestic battery, child neglect, endangering the life/welfare of a child, and was arrested Aug. 12 at Rawson Bridge Road and Roberts Road, Port Barrington. Bond was set at $5,000 and a court date of Aug. 18 was assigned.

PAROLE VIOLATION

Marcell D. Winston, 47, of the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, had a parole violation from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and was arrested Aug. 8 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. There was no bond in the case. A future court date with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections was to be determined at the time of the report.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

• Margaret K. Rohr, 26, of the 6000 block of Route 47, Woodstock, is accused of driving while license suspended, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Aug. 8 at Fairfield Road and South Avenue, unincorporated Wauconda. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Ernesto Vergara-Ramirez, 36, of the 1400 block of N. Park Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of aggravated driving while license revoked, and was arrested Aug. 10 at Rollins Road and Melrose Avenue, Round Lake Beach. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Sept. 7 was assigned.

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING

Jordan E. Leibforth, 31, of the 1000 block of E. Kitson Drive, Palatine, is accused of aggravated speeding (94 mph in a 55 mph zone), and was arrested Aug. 8 at Route 12 and Valentine Court, Lake Barrington. Bond was set at $1,500.

ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD A DRUG SCREENING TEST

Abbey E. Greenberg, 33, of the 100 block of N. Fiore Parkway, Vernon Hills, is accused of attempting to defraud a drug screening test, and was arrested Aug. 9 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Aug. 23 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL USE OF FORGED CREDIT CARDS

Matthew J. Horvath, of the 300 block of Beacon Street, North Chicago, had a warrant for unlawful use of forged credit cards, and was arrested Aug. 9 in the 300 block of Beacon Street, North Chicago. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Aug. 14 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Karli Corey, 31, of the 1400 block of W. Remington Lane, Round Lake, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Aug. 9 at Route 22 and Kelsey Road, Lake Barrington. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.
• Jeroid Brightly-Wright, 40, of the 1700 block of N. McAree Avenue, Waukegan, had a warrant for DUI alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 10 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Aug. 18 was assigned.
• Andrew C. Sittig, 35, of the 37100 block of N. Adalphi Avenue, Beach Park, is accused of aggravated DUI, attempted unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested Aug. 11 in the 37700 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of Aug. 31 was assigned.
• Anthony Reyes, 22, of the 900 block of Plymouth Lane, Island Lake, is accused of DUI alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 12 at Routes 12 and 120, Lakemoor. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 27 was assigned.
• Maria Del Rosario Gomez Mata, 37, of the 1500 block of Woodbine Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of DUI alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 12 at Washington Street and Atkinson Road, Grayslake. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 30 was assigned.
• Cristian D. Pulido Perez, 29, of the 1300 block of W. Beach Road, Beach Park, is accused of DUI alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 12 at Lewis Avenue and Edgewood Road, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.
• Erick Sanchez, 33, of the 600 block of N. Elmwood Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of DUI alcohol, no driver's license, attempted criminal damage to state supported property, and was arrested Aug. 12 in the 11400 block of W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of Aug. 24 was assigned.
• Courtney M. Farris, 39, of the 2600 block of W. Lucia Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of DUI alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 13 at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Kristin Avenue, North Chicago. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.
• Apolinar Albarran, 33, of the 3300 block of Stonegate Road, Waukegan, is accused of DUI alcohol, no driver's license, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 13 at Stonegate Road and Buckingham Road, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 27 was asssigned.
• Shane Farris, 52, of the 100 block of N. Milwaukee Avenue, Lake Villa, is accused of DUI alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 13 at Route 59 and Busse Lane, unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 25 was assigned.

FORGERY

Cordell Humphrey, 51, of the 1800 block of 170th Street, Hazel Crest, is accused of forgery, and was arrested Aug. 9 in the 2700 block of Lake Cook Road, Long Grove. Bond was set at $350,000 and a court date of Sept. 5 was assigned.

RESISTING ARREST

Anthony D. Foster, 32, of the 2100 block of Dewy Avenue, Evanston, is accused of resisting arrest, and was arrested Aug. 10 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $100,000 and a court date of Aug. 18 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Rodney A. Lancaster, 58, of the 1400 block of S. White Oak Drive, Waukegan, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Aug. 10 in the 17200 block of Route 173, Old Mill Creek. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Aug. 25 was assigned.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Julian Schlottman, 34, of the 6100 block of Maiden Lane, Spring Grove, had a warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for a probation violation, and was arrested Aug. 10 in the 40400 block of Route 59, unincorporated Antioch. There was no bond. A future court date with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections was to be determined at the time of the report.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO RESIDENCE

Darnelll L. Springs, 54, of the 38400 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of criminal trespass to residence, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and was arrested Aug. 11 in the 38400 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $75,000 and a court date of Sept. 12 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Manuel L. Gonzalez, 25, of the 2600 block of Dana Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, DUI alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Aug. 12 at Yorkhouse Road and Frolic Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Aug. 23 was assigned.

OPERATING WATERCRAFT UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Elvis E. Ortiz, 34, of the 600 block of W. Liberty, Wauconda, is accused of operating watercraft under the influence, and was arrested Aug. 13 at Grass Lake. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 18 was assigned.
