Pair Found With Burglary Tools: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY

Scott D. Hernandez, 40, of the 3100 block of 21st Street, North Chicago, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested March 31 at the Lake County Jail. He was released and assigned a court date of April 22.

RETAIL THEFT

Jakob G. Dowling, 23, of the 8700 block of S. Mozart Avenue, Evergreen Park, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested March 31 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of May 8.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

George Q. Kennedy, 46, of Apopka, Florida, had a warrant for unlawful possession of cannabis, driving while license revoked, and was arrested March 31 at Grand and Baldwin avenues, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of April 9.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED

• Miguel Rodriguez, 19, of the 1500 block of Cherokee Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving while license revoked, suspended registration, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested April 1 at Rollins Road and Grand Avenue, unincorporated Gurnee. He was released following his arrest.
• Carl E. Underwood, 73, of the 500 block of Washington Street, Waukegan, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, and was arrested April 1 at Washington Street and Hunt Club Road, Gurnee. He was released following his arrest.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Rachel Moctezuma, 31, of the 2400 block of Trailside Lane, Wauconda, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, child endangerment, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested April 2 in the 29200 block of N. Virginia Lane, unincorporated Wauconda. She was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of April 10 was assigned.
• Joshua Roberson, 31, of the 1000 block of Palmer Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of DUI alcohol, driving while license suspended, and was arrested April 4 at Blanchard and Poplar streets, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of June 4.
• Randy H. Swopes, 55, of the 39500 block of N. Harmony Court, Wadsworth, is accused of DUI alcohol, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested April 5 at N. Kilbourne Road and N. Harmony Court, Wadsworth. He was released and assigned a court date of May 21.

VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

• Andrell M. Snow, 18, of the 34200 block of N. Barberry Road, unincorporated Round Lake, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested April 2 in the 37300 block of N. Lake Shore Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa. He was released and assigned a court date of April 25.
• Devin A. Solis, 33, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested April 3 in the 21800 block of W. 3rd Street, unincorporated Lake Villa. He was released and assigned a court date of April 28.

UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Christian P. Lawn, 19, of the 900 block of Chaucer Way, Buffalo Grove, had a warrant for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and was arrested April 3 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of April 29 was assigned.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Daniel C. Kero, 47, of the 600 block of E. Malibu Lane, Palatine, is accused of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested April 3 in the 5000 block of Shoreline Road, Lake Barrington. He was released and assigned a court date of May 7.

POSSESSION OF BURGLARY TOOLS

• Anthony B. Palacious Mendoza, 32, of the 7700 block of Phillips Avenue, Chicago, is accused of possession of burglary tools, and was arrested April 6 in the 100 block of Route 120, Volo. He was released and assigned a court date of May 1.
• Miguel N. Hildalgo-Rivas, 26, no permeant address, is accused of possession of burglary tools, and was arrested April 6 in the 100 block of Route 120, Volo. He was released and assigned a court date of May 1.
