• FDA recalls popular IV bags over possible fiberglass contamination (ktalnews.com) — A medical product recall tied to Deerfield-based Baxter International could affect IV saline bags used in Illinois and several other states. Two specific lots of 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection may contain fiberglass particles, which could pose serious health risks if infused. Baxter reports no related injuries so far but urges facilities to stop using and return affected bags.
