Resisting Arrest Leads To Gun Charge: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

• Christopher Quiroz, 26, of the 300 block of S. Shagbark Court, Round Lake, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Jan. 30 in the 300 block of S. Shagbark Court, Round Lake. He was released and was assigned a court date of Feb. 21.
• Kenny A. Navarrette, 29, of the 3800 block of Olymia Lane, Island Lake, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Feb. 1 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Feb. 15.
• Daniel P. McGovern, 31, of the 400 block of Andrew Lane, Lake Zurich, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested Feb. 2 in the 400 block of Andrew Lane, Lake Zurich. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Feb. 6.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

• Travarious K. McKelvy, 23, of the 1900 block of Rosemary Lane, Gurnee, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 30 at Rollins Road and Hook Drive, unincorporated Round Lake. He was released following his arrest.
• Isaul E. Villaneuva-Arias, 27, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 30 at Rout 59 and Wilson Road, Ingleside. They were released after their arrest.
• Joshua J. Smejkal, 36, of the 400 block of Hillendale Road, Round Lake, had a warrant out of McHenry Court for driving while license revoked, and was arrested Jan. 31 at Rollins Road and Blackhawk Avenue, Ingleside. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Antonio D. Riley, 50, of the 1400 block of S. Springfield Street, Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 3 at Routes 12 and 120, Lakemoor. He was released following his arrest.
• Jamel West, 25, of Gary, Indiana, had a warrant out of DuPage County for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Feb. 4 at Route 132 and Rollins Road, Gurnee. He was released and a future court date in DuPage County was to be determined at the time of the report.

CONTEMPT OF COURT

Svyatoslav A. Molchanov, 44, of the 1800 block of Crenshaw Circle, Vernon Hills, had a warrant for contempt of court, and was arrested Jan. 31 in the 0-100 block of Crenshaw Circle, Vernon Hills. Bail was set at $1,000 and a court date of Feb. 16 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Ubaldo L. Sanchez-Ochoa, 26, of the 800 block of McAlister Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 1 at Route 83 and Gilmer Road, Long Grove. They were released and assigned a court date of Feb. 14.
• Jaime Adame-Rivera, 47, of the 38100 block of N. North Avenue, Beach Park, is accused of DUI alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 1 in the 36900 block of N. Northwestern Avenue, unincorporated Gurnee. They were released and assigned a court date of March 6.
• Austin H. Blank, 63, of the 20700 block of Verona Avenue, unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of DUI alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 3 at Route 45 and Grass Lake Road, Lindenhurst. He was released and assigned a court date of March 20.

THEFT

Joshua L. Rosendahl, 25, of the 35200 block of N. Edgewater Lane, Ingleside, had a warrant for theft, and was arrested Feb. 2 in the 35200 block of N. Edgewater Lane, Ingleside. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 29.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON BY A FELON

• Dwight D. Sanders, Jr., 28, of the 100 block of Greenhaven Lane, Gurnee, is accused of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, DUI alcohol, aggravated speeding (82 mph in a 55 mph zone), no insurance, and was arrested Feb. 2 at Route 41 and Casimir Pulaski Drive, North Chicago. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of this report and was assigned a court date of Feb. 6.
• Julio Valentino, 34, of the 4400 block of Edingburg Lane, Hanover, had a warrant out of McHenry County for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, a new charge of resisting arrest, and was arrested Feb. 4 at Nippersink and State Park roads, unincorporated Spring Grove. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a future court date was to be determined in McHenry County.
