Jennifer Brennan taught at the Chicago Botanic Garden for seven years prior to founding Chalet Nursery’s respected education series, which trains both Master Gardeners acquiring certifiable course work and home gardeners just trying to improve their knowledge base. Jennifer‘s educational efforts reach beyond the lecture room to the media. She has appeared on most area television and radio stations including the Oprah Winfrey Show. Furthermore, she is the ABC-TV horticultural correspondent, appearing monthly with Tracy Butler, the Morning News weather anchor.

Lesley Smith is a well-known arborist who is in great demand as a guest lecturer at the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Morton Arboretum, local garden centers, garden clubs and Libraries throughout Northern Illinois. Lesley and her husband, Gil, have built a reputation through their business, Arborsmith for providing a high level of personalized care when dealing with each client. Lesley and Gil have an understanding of trees and their needs that goes far beyond the typical professional arborist. Being dedicated to educating the public about tree health, Lesley and Gil produce a monthly E-newsletter featuring a “tree of the month” and other timely topics.
