• Sycamore, Kaneland advance to boys golf sectional: Wednesday's Daily Chronicle sports roundup (shawlocal.com) — DeKalb High School junior Noah Simonson shot an 81 to qualify individually for the Class 3A Burlington Central boys golf sectional, even as the Barbs finished eighth as a team. Nearby, Sycamore and Kaneland teams advanced from their regionals, and several other area golfers earned sectional berths in a strong day for local programs.
