• Resident Shot During Police Response To Domestic Incident In Des Plaines: Cops (patch.com) — A Des Plaines resident was shot Wednesday afternoon during a police response to a reported domestic disturbance at a home in the 2000 block of Touhy Avenue. The resident was taken to a local hospital, Touhy was temporarily shut down between Des Plaines River Road and Scott Street, and the Major Case Assistance Team is now conducting an independent investigation.
   

• Woman Cut With Knife, 2 DUI Arrests: Des Plaines Police Blotter (patch.com) — Recent police reports detail several serious incidents in Des Plaines, including an aggravated battery involving a knife, multiple DUI arrests on Des Plaines River Road, and residential and vehicle burglaries across town. Officers also handled order-of-protection violations, hit-and-run damage, and warrant arrests, giving residents a clear snapshot of current public safety concerns in their neighborhoods.
