Des Plaines Garden club meeting - Thursday, May 12

Our monthly meeting is Thursday, May 12 at 11am.  Join us at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 E. Northwest Hwy, Des Plaines.   The business meeting starts at noon and includes our horticulture chairman, Bob Nicholson's presentation on "Planting a Large Container".  Our 1pm program is " Planning your Vegetable Garden".  Kim Ellson, Horticulture Educator for the University of Illinois Extension office, will tell us how to have a rewarding gardening experience and reap a bountiful harvest.  Included is plant selection, methods of starting vegetables, crop rotation, composting, companion planting and more.  For more information:  www.desplainesgardenclub.com
