The Maine Township Board honored Jay Lewkowitz, former Executive Director of Oakton Place in Des Plaines, at its Sept. 23 meeting with a Resolution of Appreciation. After reading the resolution, Supervisor Carol A. Teschky, right, presented a plaque to Lewkowitz. Teschky expressed appreciation for his dedication to caring for seniors and for his participation in many Township events and activities including the Spring Senior Musicals in which he performed. He retired from Oakton Place recently after a 44-year career serving older adults.
