Local Izaak Walton League Des Plaines Chapter Pig Roast a Success!

Almost 100 people showed up for the community festivities at the local Des Plaines Chapter of the Izaak Walton League pig roast this past Sunday, August 21st. Friends, families and newcomers enjoyed fresh corn on the cob, cold beverages and most importantly the great outdoors! A pig roast with all the fixings was prepared and kids enjoyed a doughnut eating contest and smashing a pinata. The event concluded with a huge assortment of raffle items and silent auction. It was safe to say lots of fun was had by all!
