Maine Township hosts another successful event to help the needy and disadvantaged
With perfect weather and a record number of vendors, the 10th Anniversary Maine Township Community Garage Sale on Sept. 26 was a tremendous success, according to Carol Teschky, Township Supervisor.
“Many thanks to all the volunteers and staff who put this event together so smoothly and extra thanks to The Journal, Whole Foods, Republic Services, Village Bank, Senior News and our other wonderful sponsors for their support,” she added. Eighty-seven families participated in the event to sell their wares. Proceeds from space rental, food sales and sponsorships benefit the Township Food Pantry and the MaineStay Adventure Camp for disadvantaged area youth.
