PARK RIDGE, ILLINOIS — The Illinois Chamber of Commerce, whose goal is to promote and strive for improvement of Illinois government and encourage individuals to know their government, has endorsed Mel Thillens, GOP candidate for the Illinois House 55th District. Thillens, a strong advocate for small businesses in Illinois, is Vice-President of his family’s business, Thillens Inc., an armored car company in the Chicago area.
“I believe in the Chamber of Commerce goals of promoting and protecting the American right to own, operate and grow your own business,” Thillens said. “I am thrilled that Chamber choose to endorse my candidacy for State Representative. We share the strong business background and commitment to improve conditions under which we all operate in the State of Illinois.”
The Chamber of Commerce and its local affiliates are one of the largest business and employment promotion organizations in the State of Illinois.

“I continue to work hard, knocking on thousands of doors across the district to help deliver my message,” Thillens said. “I am gaining support from Republicans, Independents and Democrats who all recognize we need to lower taxes, fight corruption, and bring jobs back to Illinois.”
