New Badminton Classes Offered by Golf Maine Park District

New Badminton Classes to Start at Golf Maine Park District

The Golf Maine Park District (GMPD) is hosting badminton classes starting March 9 and running through April 6 at Dee Park, Emerson and Dee Roads, in unincorporated Maine Township. Sign-ups are underway for this new class held every Wednesday in two age categories.

Ages 7 – 12 years old will participate from 4 – 4:45 p.m. Ages 13 – 16 years old will have their session from
5 - 5:45 p.m. The fee for either session is $48. A minimum of 6 players are required with a maximum of 10 players.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of the game of badminton including the proper grip on the racket, overhead stroke techniques, movement, strategy and tactics by participating in drills and games. The instructor is Manny Seesawat.
