Oakton presents Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”
The Performing Arts at Oakton presents "Julius Caesar" Oct. 6 - 9 and Oct. 13 - 16.

"Julius Caesar” comes to life with a modern twist Oct. 6 - 9 and Oct. 13 - 16, when the Performing Arts at Oakton presents the production at the college’s Footlik Theater, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
“Julius Caesar” resembles the last 50 years of U.S. history – a senate unites in conspiracy against the nation’s leader amid name calling and suspicion, patriotism and dishonor, with an assassination and mob-incited violence. Of course, this is all done in the name of righteous government. See this updated version of the play that juxtaposes intrigue with a contemporary milieu – just in time for election season.
The play opens on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m., with a special $5 preview. Regular performances are scheduled at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7- 8, and Sunday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. Additional shows take place Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 15, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m.
