Teddy Bear to come to life at Des Plaines History Center
Coffee Talk, "The Woman behind the Teddy Bear," Thursday, March 10, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

German historian Anette Isaacs returns to the Des Plaines History Center, 781 Pearson Street, to present the Coffee Talk, “The Woman behind the Teddy Bear,” Thursday, March 10, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Isaacs will relate the inspiring story of Margarete Steiff, a German seamstress who overcame terrible sickness and incredible challenges to bring the world one of its most cherished stuffed animals. Come and learn how Steiff turned her tiny workshop into one of the most recognizable international brands during the male-dominated world of the 19th century.
