2 Businesses Burglarized, Another Retail Theft At Home Depot: DG Cops

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Two buildings were burglarized, another retail theft was reported at Home Depot and other crimes were listed on the most recent Downers Grove police blotter.

Business Burglarized in 400 Block of Ogden Avenue

Someone smashed the glass to gain entry to a building in the 400 block of Ogden Avenue on the morning of June 26. When police got to the scene, they found a hammer, shattered glass and four iPhone boxes inside the store. The incident was reported around 7:30 a.m.

Lockers Burglarized in 1300 Block of 75th Street

Police say someone pried open lockers at a gym in the 1300 block of 75th Street on June 29. According to the police report, three gym patrons returned to their lockers to find cash, cards and other items had been stolen.

Retail Theft at Home Depot

A man stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from the Home Depot at 2000 Butterfield Rd. Police say the man came into the store around 3:15 p.m. on June 27 and stole three cordless Ryobi drills.
