$20K Donation To Help Seniors Age In Place In DuPage County
The Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club recently donated $20,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help local senior citizens.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A generous donation of $20,000 from the Downers Grove Juniors Woman's Club (DGJWC) will help senior residents in DuPage County age in place via Habitat for Humanity.
The DGJWC gave the donation to Habitat for Humanity at a recent meeting, recognizing the organization as its Charity Partner for 2023.
“We are so thrilled to receive this support,” Debbie White, Director of Development for DuPage Habitat for Humanity, said in a statement.

White added, “Our organization brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. This donation will allow us to help people age in the place they call home.”
Habitat for Humanity's Aging in Place program assists seniors with mortgage payments, repairs and other initiatives to help them stay in their own homes as they get older.

“We help give them independence that means the world to this community,”Jill Sobie, Senior Family Services Manager for DuPage Habitat for Humanity, commented.
In late 2022, DGJWC granted over $35,000 to charities focused on providing adaptive playground equipment for children. In total, DGJWC has made more than $87,000 in charitable contributions since September 2022.
