22 Students From District 58 Move Forward In PTA Reflections Contest

This year's theme is "Show Your Voice!" and 22 students from District 58 are hoping to make it to the national level.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — This year, 22 students from Downers Grove Grade School District 58 will compete at the state level in the 2022-23 PTA Reflections competition. The students will compete in six categories —choreography, photography, literature, visual arts, film production and music composition— with works inspired by the theme "Show Your Voice!"

This year, the following District 58 students made it to the state level of the contest. The schools they attend and the categories in which they will compete are also listed.

The above participants were chosen from 31 District 58 students who competed in the regional level of the annual competition. After judges from the Illinois PTA review the entries, select students will advance to the national level of the PTA Reflections contest, which is slated for spring of 2023.

The PTA Reflections competition was founded more than 50 years ago, according to the Illinois PTA website, and aims to help foster creativity, life skills and confidence in students.
