26th Annual Downtown Downers Grove Summer Nights Classic Car Show
Classic Cars will return to Downtown Downers Grove Friday, May 25th and continue weekly through August 31, 2018.
Kick-off summer at the opening night of the 26th Annual Summer Nights Classic Car Show, May 25th! The show will run every Friday through August 31, 2018, 6-9pm (there will be no show on June 22nd due to Rotary GroveFest). An array of Classic Cars will line the streets while hundreds of families enjoy the display. All Classic Cars are welcome on Main Street from Maple to Franklin and the Featured Cars will be on Curtiss Street.Featured Cars must be pre-1993 and a trophy will be awarded to the “best” featured car each week. Live entertainment will be at the Main Street Train Station from 7-9pm. The Featured Cars and live entertainment vary weekly and a schedule can be found at www.downtowndg.org. While enjoying the Classic Cars make sure to stop in our unique boutiques and delicious restaurants. Don't miss the new additions that have joined your favorite Downtown Downers Grove businesses over the past year! Our Car Show is 26 years old and has grown to be an amazing show. We want everyone to enjoy themselves while in attendance. This includes the car show participants, the patrons, our businesses, their customers & the Community of Downers Grove as a whole. In an effort to make this show better & to continue we are putting out a friendly reminder of the rules we expect our Car Show Participants to follow. By following these rules you are helping us ensure that the Classic Car Show continues in Downtown Downers Grove! Thank you for your support of this wonderful event & our Downtown Businesses!
A friendly reminder of our 2018 Car Show rules:
- No Car Show parking allowed until 4:00 p.m. We have 2 hour on street parking until 6pm. Therefore any cars parked prior to 4:00 p.m will be risking a ticket.
- Featured Car parking spaces will be saved on Curtiss beginning at 5pm.
- There is no parking allowed in the 5207 Main Street parking before 5:30pm.
- Do not block the sidewalks or business entrances.
- No coolers on the sidewalk.
- Reserving spaces is not allowed.
- No excessive acceleration.
- No loud speakers.
- No open exhaust.
Visitors can find parking in our surrounding parking lots as well as the parking deck at 945 Curtiss Street. The parking deck is free on Fridays after 3pm. Please visit downtowndg.org or call 630-725-0991 for more details.
