3 Cars Burglarized, 1 Stolen In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove police are investigating three car burglaries and one car theft, all of which were reported on Aug. 7, according to a recent police blotter.

Car Burglary in 800 block of Claremont Drive

A resident told police that they left their car unlocked around 5 p.m. on Aug. 6. When they returned to their car the following day, they noticed that someone had rifled through the center console and removed $40 in cash.

Car Burglary, Theft in 1000 block of Carol Street

Police say an Audi A3 was stolen from the garage of a home and that dentistry glasses were stolen from a car in a driveway.

Car Burglary in the 3000 block of Highland Parkway

A resident told police that someone shattered the window of their car and stole a brown Coach purse, which contained a wallet, credit cards and $200 cash.
