51 Coronavirus Cases, 7 Deaths At Willowbrook Nursing Home
Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Willowbrook had its first coronavirus case in mid-March.
WILLOWBROOK, IL — Less than a month after the first coronavirus case was diagnosed at Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Willowbrook, the long-term care facility reports 51 confirmed coronavirus cases and 7 deaths, according to DuPage County Health Department records.
The nursing home's coronavirus cases include 34 residents and 17 employees at press time.
In a March press conference, Illinois Department of Public Health Director Ngozi Ezike said affected patients have been isolated at a hospital or in a separate wing of the care facility. Affected employees have been furloughed home.

At press time, Chateau Willowbrook did not immediately respond to multiple requests for comment from Patch regarding patients who have recovered or what further safeguards are being put in place to protect residents and employees.
