DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove police responded to a report of a burglary at XSport Fitness and a retail theft at Home Depot, according to the village's most recent police blotter.

Cash Stolen from Locker at XSport Fitness

Police were called to the XSport Fitness at 1320 75th St. on Feb. 14 for a report of a burglary. According to the crime blotter, someone said the locks had been cut from their locker and that $120 had been stolen. The incident took place sometime between 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 pm..

Building Materials Stolen from Home Depot

A man and a woman were seen stealing items from the Home Depot at 2000 Butterfield Rd., according to police. Employees told police the pair filled a cart with a lighting fixture and copper pipes. The woman then distracted employees, police say, while the man exited. Police say they loaded the items into a Penske rental truck. The total loss was valued at $7,583.51.
