Aggravated Battery Suspect Arrested In Downers Grove

Police say Junies D. Henry-Caldwell was was in a "physical altercation" in a parking garage that resulted in a man being hospitalized.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A man was arrested Monday after an aggravated assault in a Downers Grove parking garage that left another man hospitalized with apparent serious injuries.

Junies D. Henry-Caldwell faces a charge of aggravated battery—great bodily harm and aggravated battery in a public place in connection with the March 17 incident.

Police were called to a parking garage at 945 Curtiss St. around 12:15 a.m. for a report that a man was found inside an elevator with injuries from an apparent "physical altercation," a news release said. The man was taken to a nearby hospital.

An investigation led police to Henry-Caldwell, who was taken into custody in the 3000 block of Finley Road Monday afternoon.

Henry-Caldwell is currently being held in DuPage County Jail on $6,000 bond.
