Carol Gilles, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and earned her degree at Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. She completed her residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Gilles became an OB/GYN because she likes getting to know patients and believes her role is to help educate them and make a treatment plan together. She enjoys being a part of the birth experience and helping parents welcome the new addition to their family. Her clinical expertise includes vaginal and minimally invasive surgery to help patients improve their quality of life and have a shorter recovery time.
Radha Burtch, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and earned her degree at Kasturba Medical College in India. She completed her graduate medical education at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. Dr. Burtch comes to AMITA Health with a history rich in cultural integration. She has practiced in two different continents and has learned/acclimatized many different cultures, making this a strength offered in her practice. She speaks four languages – English, Spanish, Hindi and Telugu. Dr. Burtch believes the continuity of care and building patient-provider trust is the essence to a good practice. Her clinical interests and expertise include complicated gynecology surgery, the assessment and management of blood loss, cancer screening and menstrual disorders.
The medical practice has expanded to meet community need, said Patti Wilkerson, vice president, Strategy, AMITA Health Medical Group. “The opportunity for growth was evident,” she said. “These physicians value patient relationships and take time to listen to individual needs and concerns. Their goal is to deliver an unprecedented level of care, service and satisfaction in a comfortable and caring environment.”
