Armed Robbery Reported At Speedway In Downers Grove
Police are looking for two suspects in connection with the armed robbery, which took place Labor Day.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Speedway gas station on Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove was robbed at gunpoint late Monday. Police are asking for the public's help identifying two people in connection with the armed robbery.
Police say someone entered the gas station at 5004 Fairview Ave. around 9:30 p.m. and showed the employee a handgun. A second person stood near the door throughout the robbery, according to an update from the village.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen during the robbery, Downers Grove Police Department spokesperson Bill Budds told Patch Tuesday. Both suspects fled on foot after the incident and were last seen heading westbound from the gas station.
