The fire sent one person to the hospital and left six apartments uninhabitable.

WESTMONT, IL --- A person faces arson charges after a fire that ripped through an apartment complex above Taco Express in Westmont on Dec. 7. The suspect, who has not been identified, faces two counts of aggravated arson and will be examined by a psychologist at the request of DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin, according to a press release from Westmont Police Department.
The fire, which started around 11:39 a.m. on Dec. 7, brought more than a dozen fire crews from surrounding areas to battle the blaze. Police say the fire, which also left one person hospitalized, apparently began in an apartment unit on the second floor.
The arson charges were filed after an investigation by DuPage County Fire Investigation Task Force and DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. At press time, police said no additional information was available.
