AURORA, IL — An Aurora man has been sentenced to nine years in prison after he was convicted of his sixth DUI. Roberto Patino Hernandez, 45, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of aggravated DUI Thursday. Hernandez was pulled over on May 9, 2016, after police saw him driving 16 mph over the speed limit near the intersection of Farnsworth Ave. and Sheffer Rd.
According to police, Sheffer's breath smelled of alcohol and he had an open case of Budweiser in the car and "several empty beer cans" strewn on the passenger seat.
