DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police in Downers Grove are investigating a car burglary, an incident in which windows were broken at the Belmont Metra station and other crimes that were reported on the most recent blotter.

Car Burglarized in 1500 Block of 75th Street

A driver told police her car was burglarized while it was parked in the 1500 Block of 75th Street. She said she parked the car just before 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 12 and went to eat at Sushi City. When she returned an hour later, she noticed someone had smashed the front passenger's window of the car and stolen a backpack. The backpack and its content were valued at $300, according to police.

Windows Smashed at Belmont Depot

Police say someone used rocks to break eight large windows at the Belmont Depot. A light was also broken during the incident, which took place between 3 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 3 p.m. on Oct. 10.

Package Stolen from Lobby in 5100 Block of Blodgett Avenue

A resident told police someone stole a Coach bag that had been delivered to her home in the 5100 block of Blodgett Avenue on Oct. 8. The bag was valued at $403.
