Maplewood Public House

Celebrate summer, creativity, and community at the very first Prism Market at Maplewood Public House on Friday, June 26 from 5PM to 9PM. This brand-new outdoor evening market will transform the Maplewood parking lot into a colorful gathering space filled with local artists, handmade goods, vintage finds, possibly vinyl vendors, and summer energy. Admission is free and the event is family friendly, welcoming everyone to come out and enjoy a laid-back night celebrating Pride Month, craft beer, art, and the start of summer.
Guests can explore a curated line-up of more than 20 artists and small businesses featuring everything from woodworking, leatherwork, original artwork, paintings, treats, baked goods, comics, vintage items, vinyl records, and other unique handcrafted creations. The goal of Prism Market is to bring together a wide variety of creative voices and vendors into one welcoming community event that highlights independent artists and makers from around the area.

The 20th annual Downers Grove Garden Walk will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The Garden Walk provides an opportunity to view some of the most beautiful gardens in the area and is also a fundraiser that supports the work of Downers Grove First United Methodist Church (DGFUMC) Bridge Board in providing transitional housing and mentoring for previously homeless families. The Bridge Board at DGFUMC is a program partner with Bridge Communities, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Bridge Communities’ focus is to transform the lives of homeless DuPage County families by guiding them to a better future. This is accomplished by providing housing, mentoring, direction, hope, encouragement, and a stable environment in which families can become self-sufficient and sustain their independence. The cost to support each family is around $15,000 annually, and each family is mentored for 2 years. The Garden Walk is the main fundraiser for these efforts, and 100% of the proceeds go to supporting the families. Tickets for the 2026 Garden Walk are $20.00 in advance and will be available in mid-June at the following locations: ● Anderson’s Bookshop, 5112 Main St., Downers Grove ● Community Bank of Downers Grove, 1111 Warren Ave. ● Phillip’s Flowers &amp; Gifts, 528 N. Cass Ave., Westmont● The Growing Place, 25W471 Plank Rd., Naperville ● Online (electronic tickets) at dgfumc.org/give. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the Garden Walk (July 11) for $25 at any of the gardens or in the DGFUMC Parking Lot from 9:00-11:30 AM. If you are unable to attend and/or wish to contribute to this worthy cause, you can make a donation at dgfumc.org/give.
