Car Burglarized, Bike Stolen: Downers Grove Crime Blotter

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was burglarized and a bike was stolen, according to the most recent crime blotter from the Downers Grove Police Department.

Bike Stolen from Hotel on Finley Road

Police say someone stole a bike from a hotel in the 3100 block of Finley Road.The victim told police they parked their bike outside of his room at the Extended Stay America at 3150 Finley Rd. around 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 25. When he exited his room around 6:30 p.m., he noticed the bike was missing. Police say the stolen item was a 2020 Trek X-Caliber valued at $800.

Car Burglarized in 1100 Block of Barberry Court

A car was burglarized in the 1100 block of Barberry Court sometime between 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 and 7:30 a.m. on March 1. The victim told police they didn't remember if they had locked their car, but that they noticed someone had gotten into their center console and stolen a wallet. According to police, a credit card that had been in the wallet was later used fraudulently.
