Car Burglarized, Catalytic Converter Stolen: Downers Grove Blotter

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was burglarized, a catalytic converter was stolen and other crimes were reported in Downers Grove in late April and early May, according to a recent crime blotter.

Catalytic Converter Stolen in 1400 Block of Brook Drive

The victim told police they parked their car in a lot in the 1400 block of Brook Drive on April 28. When they returned to their car around 2:30 p.m. on May 2, they noticed the catalytic converter had been stolen.

Car Burglarized in 2500 Block of Wisconsin Avenue

Police say a locked Dodge Dart was burglarized while it was parked in a lot outside a business in the 2500 block of Wisconsin Avenue. The victim reported that a debit card, $100 in cash and a leather jacket had been stolen. The incident took place between 12 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. on May 2.
