Car Stolen, Catalytic Converters Cut: Downers Grove Crime Blotter
Police say a car was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 900 block of 73rd Street.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was stolen from a resident's driveway and two catalytic converters were cut from cars in Downers Grove, according to the village's Oct. 4 crime blotter.
Catalytic Converter Stolen from 2200 Block of Arbor Circle
A resident told police that someone cut the catalytic converter from their 2006 Honda Element. The theft took place sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 10:38 a.m. Saturday, per a police report. The total loss was estimated at $1500.

Catalytic Converter Stolen from 2400 Block of Ogden Avenue
A catalytic converter was cut from a 2011 Honda Pilot in the 2400 block of Ogden Avenue, police say. The victim told police they parked their car in a lot around 5 p.m. on Friday. When they returned to their car around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, they noticed the catalytic converter was missing. The total loss was valued at $1500.

Car Stolen from 900 block of 73rd Street
A resident told police someone in their family heard the engine to their 2015 black Dodge Charger being started around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 29. When the resident went outside, they saw the car had been stolen. Shattered glass was found near where the car had been parked, the police report said.
The total loss was valued at $25,000.
