Car Stolen From Dealership, Retail Theft Reported, More: DGPD

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was stolen from a dealership, two cars were burglarized, and a retail theft was reported at Home Depot, according to the most recent crime blotter from the Downers Grove Police Department.

Car Burglarized in 6600 block of Dunham Road

Someone burglarized a car in the 6600 block of Dunham Road sometime between June 6 and June 7. The resident told police their car had been left unlocked and was burglarized sometime between 10:45 p.m. on June 6 and 8:15 a.m. on June 7. Police say a bluetooth speaker was reported stolen.

3 Cars Burglarized in 1200 block of Andrus Avenue

Police say three cars were burglarized outside a home in the 1200 block of Andrus Avenue on the morning of June 7. According to the blotter, the cars had been left unlocked and the resident reported seeing someone heading west on Andrus after the incident.

Car Stolen from Chicago Auto Place

Someone smashed a window and stole a 2015 Lexus from Chicago Auto Place, 2150 Ogden Ave., according to police. The incident took place just after midnight on June 11 and the suspect was last seen driving east on Ogden. The total loss was valued at $46,888.

Items Stolen from Home Depot

A retail theft was reported at the Home Depot at 2000 Butterfield Rd. on June 5. Police say that just after 6 p.m. a man came into the store, grabbed three nail guns and tried to return them for a refund. When he was unable to do so, the man left with the nail guns, according to police.
