Car Stolen From Parking Lot In Downers Grove, Found In Chicago

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Two cars were stolen from the parking lot of an apartment complex and more than $450 in alcohol was stolen from a store, according to the Downers Grove crime blotter for mid-December.

A locked car was stolen from a parking lot in the 2100 block of Prentiss Drive, according to police. The victim told police she parked her car in the lot around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 15. When she came back to the parking lot around 7:28 a.m. the next day, she noticed her car was gone.

Chicago police later found the car in the first block of North Lotus Avenue in Chicago with its steering column and back window damaged.

Car Stolen from Parking Lot; Card Fraud Reported

A locked car was stolen from a parking lot in the 2000 block of Prentiss Drive. sometime between 7 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 6:06 a.m. on Dec. 15. According to police, a wallet was inside the car and fraudulent charges were made on the owner's card between 3:14 a.m. and just after 4 a.m., including at a gas station in Melrose Park.

Alcohol Stolen from Binny's

Police say a man and a woman came into the Binny's at 2020 Butterfield Rd. around 6:42 p.m. on Dec. 10 and stolen nine bottles of alcohol before getting into a red sedan with Indiana plates. The total loss was valued at $466.91.
