Charlie Sheen Rips on Downers Grove and Denise Richards
She's a "doosh phace" and her hometown is "retarded," Sheen blurts on Twitter in Father's Day rant.

Call this Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management” Father’s Day Special.
Sheen’s on-again, off-again, long-running feud with his ex-wife Denise Richards, mother to their two children, erupted on Twitter again Sunday — and this time the actor and poster child for party-boy excess dragged Downers Grove into his fetid fever dream.
Sheen, who stars in a TV show called Anger Management, let loose on Twitter several times during the day, calling Richards, who was born in Downers Grove in 1971, a “heretic and washed up piglet shame pile.” Later in the day, Sheen posted “an open letter to the media” — an epic and profane rant, the vicious screed of the apoplectically unhinged.

He calls Richards, whom he married in 2002 and divorced in 2006, a “doosh phace” and a “charlatan” and the “worst mom alive.” Most of the post is unprintable and not worth reading. But this swipe stood out:
“last note; this lab rat is from a retarded (expletive) hole named ‘Downers Grove’ nothing further your Honor”

Her response on Twitter was entirely different in tone: “Happy Dad’s Day! @charliesheen have a great trip in Mexico! Kids were disappointed u weren’t here for it- Hey we’ll celebrate when u r back!”
Sometimes exes just cannot get along. But what’s with the dig at her hometown, Charlie?
Richards went to Pierce Downer Elementary School and Herrick Middle School during her childhood years in Downers Grove. In 2009, she filmed part of her E! reality show, “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated,” in town, with a spot inside Gatto’s on Main Street. She credits Downers Grove and Mokena, where she lived for a while before Downers Grove, with instilling in her old-fashioned Midwestern values.
“I love the people around here. Everyone is so nice. I’m so glad I grew up here. I think it’s a great town,” Richards said in an interview with Suburban Life during her visit at the time.
In a book published in 2011, “The Real Girl Next Door,” Richards wrote about the “idyllic suburban childhood” she and her sister experienced.
“Downers Grove was a charming little town with cobblestone streets and cute mom-and-pop stores. There was one movie theater, where I saw ‘E.T.’ and ‘Star Wars.’ On summer nights, we walked to Bogg’s ice cream, which to this day is the best homemade ice cream I’ve ever eaten. My parents took my sister and me to church on Sundays, and both of us attended CCD classes one day a week after school. We made our Communion and Confirmation. Though we had our own rooms, Michelle and I did everything together, from gymnastics to pom-poms in junior high. Both of us had a crush on Rob Lowe, we had a poster of him in our room, and we never missed an episode of ‘The Facts of Life.’”
Her dad, Irv Richards, moved the family to Oceanside, CA, when Denise was a freshman at Downers Grove North. A telephone line repairman, Irv had grown weary of the cold weather.
What prompted Sheen to air out his dirty mind and laundry on Twitter again? Who knows. And really, who cares? But he ought to leave Downers Grove out of his sick, addled tantrums.
